These are strange times we are living in at the moment and there might be a lot of uncertainty and apprehension around your wedding day. I thought I would drop by to offer you my support and some tips on what to do if you find yourselves having to make changes to your wedding day.
Coping with change can be incredibly unsettling and I understand how you might be feeling. You were preparing for one of the happiest days of your lives, so take some time out to reflect on the situation. Take comfort in each other then focus on the next steps in making your future together.
Firstly, make contact with all of your suppliers and talk to them about a new date for your wedding. In these unprecedented times they will be more than happy to help you. It is always better to contact the supplier in person so that you can talk through the options that are available to you.
It is possible that not all of your chosen suppliers will be available for the new date for your wedding. If this happens don't worry - the wedding industry is a tight-knit community and if the supplier that you wanted already has a booking, it is very likely they will be able to recommend another supplier who might be able to help you.
Once you have decided on a new date for your wedding be sure to let everyone know as soon as possible. This includes your guests and other suppliers that you might not have been in touch with yet. Many wedding stationers are offering 'save the new date' cards so you can tell your guests the news.
I know that so many wedding suppliers are still working very hard in the background to make sure wedding planning gets back on track. You might not be able to meet them face to face at the moment but most are available for meetings by Facetime, What'sApp video or Zoom. That way you can still chat to them, see examples of their work and get to know them a bit better. Give them a call and get booked in.
This horrible situation we all find ourselves in will pass and we will be creating beautiful memories very soon. I can reassure you that your wedding might look different, it might be a different time of year and possibly a new location too, but you will be getting married and it will be a wonderful celebration for you and your guests.
